This is our most popular daywalk from Marrakech, and not to be missed!
We will arrange your taxi to collect you from Marrakech and arrive in Amizmiz by 9am. We will then walk at a relaxed pace through beautiful pine forests and along ancient mountain trails. Winding our way slowly into the traditional landscape of the berber people, we will see firsthand how they have lived for hundreds of years.
We will take you up to a traditional Berber village, where your hosts will prepare a feast of local delights for lunch. There will also be traditional Moroccan tea.
After exploring the village and experiencing how these hospitable people make their living in the mountains, we will return to Amizmiz by 4pm so that you can travel back to Marrakech.
Should you book this experience on a Tuesday, then you will also have time to explore the traditional market of Amizmiz. This happens once a week, and people from many of the surrounding berber villages come down to market to do their buying and selling. An experience not to be missed!
(Note that we are unable to guide you around the market ourselves. You can either explore on your own, or your taxi driver may offer to show you around).
