Is it difficult?

Many people ask us how hard it is to climb Toubkal in the Winter. So long as you are physically fit enough to walk in the mountains for four days, it really isn’t that difficult. In some ways a winter ascent can be more straightforward than a summer one, since the snow covers the difficult screes.

If you are unsure of your abilities we recommend an additional day to your experience. We will use this day to trach you all the winter skills necessary to make your attempt on Toubkal a success. Full training and coaching of ice-axe skills, and crampon movement skills will be given. We also take time to have an in-depth look at snowpack formation and avalanche risk. We give you plenty of opportunity to practice the skills as you are learning them before the attempt on the summit.

So you really have nothing to worry about. Toubkal is waiting for you, and we are here to guide you. You can trust our intimate knowledge and experience of this mountain, as we guide it in all conditions.
